Observations / Conclusions

It is claimed that this system will make you money, even if the win rate is as low as 33% - i.e. in theory, you only need to win two games out of six.

However, using the 127 NBA picks from the 2008 - 2009 season, where the win rate was actually 47.24%, you can see that we still experienced a financial loss of over $350 USD.

Like all progressive betting systems, a series loss can get expensive. In this case, even if your basic betting unit is just $10 USD, the total amount you'd lose on a series could be anywhere from $182.27 USD to $220.45 USD, depending on the exact sequence of wins and losses, and assuming consistent odds of -110.

On the other hand, you can win anywhere from $6.36 USD to $57.27 USD on a series, again, with a base bet of $10 USD, depending on where the wins fall within the series, and assuming you get odds of -110 on all games.

Recommendation:

System 4.2 gets a Thumbs Down

We cannot recommend using System 4.2 for the simple reason that it lost us money over the course of an entire NBA season.
