We found Bookie Buster, by Frank Belanger, back in September 2008 when we were looking for a reliable single-game sports betting system.
It wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but it did look very interesting, having read the entire sales page, so we bought it.
So, what is it?

Our Experience
Well, it turns out that Bookie Buster is actually a set of 22 betting systems / money management strategies - it's not, by itself, a system for selecting teams / players likely to win, nor is it a sports pick service either.
Having said that, when we bought Bookie Buster, and according to the current sales page too, there are three bonuses that come with this product:
- Three additional systems that "have never lost", taking the total to 25.
- Free lifetime membership to his Best Daily Sports pick, which he claims has a 55+% win rate.
- Free 30-day access to his Premium Picks service, where you get three to six picks per day, with a 62+% win rate. (The full cost of this premium service is $19.95 USD for one day, $24.95 USD for three days, $39.95 for one week, and $119.95 for one month.)
The main product, then, and the one that you are ostensibly buying, is a 159-page eBook called "Bookie Buster - 22 Secret Systems Used By Pro Sports Gamblers Finally Revealed".
After a short, two-page introduction, the book contains:
- some basic terminology related to sports betting, for those who are new to this
- some recommended sports books, including some you can use within the USA
- information about the different formats of odds used by different sports books - i.e. US Odds Format and International Odds Format - which includes simple calculations to convert between the two, and a handy Odds Conversion Chart that covers many of the standard odds that you'll come across
- a list of abbreviations used, which are designed to be of particular use if you intend doing your own handicapping
- a short section about realistic win rates, and why sports betting can be more profitable than just leaving your money in the bank
- a recommendation on how to manage your bankroll, which is a crucial part of your sports betting strategy, as the aim is to stay in the game for as long as you can
- and then, the 22 different sports betting systems.
Now, because there are 22 systems for us to evaluate, which means we have an awful lot of number crunching to do on the data we have accumulated (and continue to record every day), we are going to release our results of each system as and when we have the opportunity to do so.
If we waited until we'd thoroughly analysed all of them, you'd not see any review at all for many more months (or even years) yet.
Actual Results - Bookie Buster
So, on to the individual reviews, and we'll start with System 4.1, as this is not so much a specific system you can use, but a key principle and an explanation of why pro sports gamblers make more money than the average "hobby bettor" does.
This important lesson is, however, maybe not viable for the person just starting out with sports betting, for a number of reasons, which include the availability of picks (assuming you're not going to do your own handicapping), and the size of your initial bankroll.
We obviously can't say more, without revealing what System 4.1 is all about, but suffice it to say that you won't find it too useful, in the beginning, although it will come into play later on in your sports betting career.
The remaining systems do consist of specific rules and formulae that you need to apply, and we shall summarise the results in tabular form. To find out more about a particular system (e.g. detailed findings), all you need to do is click on the System No. in the table below:

Actual Results - Best Daily Picks
Moving on to the lifetime free membership to Frank's Best Daily Picks service, then how is that performing?
Because Frank sends out picks covering a variety of sports, we'll show the latest / current season's results on a sport by sport / league by league basis:
| Sport |
Win Rate |

| MLB |
51.98% |

 |
| NBA |
37.78% |

| NCAAB |

| NCAAF |
60.00% |

 |
| NFL |
40.00% |
 |
 |
| NHL |
66.67% |

The overall win rate, across all of these sports for the latest / current season, is 47.60%.
Actual Results - Premium Picks Service (Free 30-Day Trial)
As we mentioned above, you also receive a free 30-day trial to his Premium Picks Service, where instead of receiving just one pick a day, with his Best Daily Picks, you get several games to bet on.
As with the Best Daily Picks, Frank sends out picks covering a variety of sports, so we'll show the results on a sport by sport / league by league basis:
| Sport |

| NHL |

The overall win rate, then, across all four sports, is 58.90% (43 wins and 30 losses, with no pushes).
What We Like About Bookie Buster
- There are systems to cover most of the major US sports, so potentially you'd be able to bet all year round.
- The systems are all well explained, with worked examples so that you can see them in action.
What We Don't Like About Bookie Buster
- In order to use the supplied bankroll management recommendations, then for some of these systems, you do need a very large bankroll (which is typical of progressive systems, of course).
- The free Best Daily Picks service has a win rate that is barely above 50%, which is a bit like tossing a coin.
- The Premium Picks service, for the 30 days of our free trial, also under-performed compared to what the sales page promised.
Recommendation
We obviously have not finished reviewing all of the different systems in Bookie Buster, but based on our analysis to date, we cannot recommend Bookie Buster.
In addition, the win rate of Frank's Best Daily Picks is only 50.24%, which is way too low (and lower than the 55% claimed on the website).
Although his NFL picks did just hit a win rate of 75%, which is the minimum qualifying score to give it a thumbs up, we can't recommend it as this result is only based on eight picks, which is too small a sample.
Finally, although we only had limited experience of his Premium Picks Service (i.e. the free 30-day trial), the win rate of 58.90% is too low for us, and it's also lower than the 62+% he claims on his website.
Frank states in his book that win rates of much more than 60% are almost impossible to achieve, over time, and that you don't need a win rate of much more than 54% to show a profit (even lower, with some of his systems), but until we find one or more systems in Bookie Buster that would translate these sorts of win rates into substantial winnings, we cannot yet recommend Bookie Buster or his picks services.
Remember, however, that one of the bonuses is three additional systems that "have never lost", so we're hopeful that at least one of these will deliver the goods.
| If you'd like to see your own review of Bookie Buster (or any other system that we've reviewed here) on Secret To Sports Betting, then we'd be more htan happy to publish it.
