John Morrison, of Sports Betting Champ, is well-known for his NBA and MLB systems, but not many people know that he also offers NFL betting tips too.

As long-time subscribers to his Sports Betting Champ list, we were told about his Ultimate NFL Betting System on 6 August 2009, and initially, we wrote it off, having recently had a bad experience with his MLB Champ Selections.

However, he kept sending out emails about his new NFL betting system, and we ultimately succumbed to his sales pitch on 23 September 2009.

Basic Facts

Our Experience

This will be our first time using The Ultimate NFL Betting System and as such we have very little historical data (tracked or played) yet, but we thought this system had an excellent potential based on the following:

1. He claims that is has only lost ONCE since 2004 (now we know that he has no problems with hype and spin, but the remaining attributes look stronger in our minds)
2. It is a 3-game progression like his basic MLB and NBA systems (which we refer to as System 1)
3. The average odds should be somewhere around -110, meaning if you placed a to-win bet of $100, you're risking $110 vs. $170 with the NBA after buying 3 points. This is more cost-effective.
4. In most cases, you are not required to buy points, even when betting on the NFL spread, but when you do, it is half a point and your odds could be as high as -135, a bit expensive but still cheaper than the NBA with -170.
5. Typically, you get 3 - 4 picks per week emailed to you several days before the game. and again the day before the game is played. Hint: get your bets in as early as possible - that way you will the best odds available and reduced chances of the NFL betting line moving away from you.
6. He says there can be up to 100+ potential 3-game series up for play under the system in each NFL season. Now, this could be hype so we'll have to see what happens this season as to if we get that many series.
7. He claims this system wins just as often as System 1. This was the key for us. If this system performs at 97% or better, that means you could expect 1 or 2 losses over the season and clearly for us, if that were to happen, we would just engage one of our AB or AF strategies to help re-coup.

One small point to note: this is not the same as his 63% NFL Football Betting System, which he includes as a free bonus when you purchase Sports Betting Champ. The reason why that system only has a 63% win rate (which we have never verified, by the way) is that it is a single-game system, not a 3-game progression like this one is.

Overall, looking at this system, we think it does have good potential and you might want to add this one to your arsenal as well.

What We Like About The Ultimate NFL Betting System

• It uses the same type of 3-game progression that is the reason for his NBA and MLB systems being so successful, so there is plenty of pedigree.
• No losses since 2004 is certainly very impressive.
• The odds you will get on most games is -110 (i.e. you don't have to buy points like you do with his NBA system), and for the remaining games, you will only have to buy half a point, which still makes it much better value than the -170 odds you get with his NBA system.
• You don't need to know anything about football, as your NFL betting picks are emailed to you, so all you need to do is place your bets and collect your winnings.
• For those that like to "do-it-yourself", you do get a PDF report explaining his system, should you choose to work out your own picks (although why would you want to do this when you can get the picks emailed to you each week).
• If there are as many games as he says, then there will be ample opportunity to win back your money, and more, very quickly.

What We Don't Like About The Ultimate NFL Betting System

• He treats this separately from System 1 and it will cost you almost $300 USD, as this is NOT on his main website, although on the brighter side, you should be able to make this back in under a couple of weeks, even if playing rather conservatively.
• We have a natural aversion to progression systems simply because the bet size can get very large very quickly. (However, if his win rate and record match his claims, then this shouldn't be a problem with this system.)
• There is no sales page available for this system, so if you're not already on his Sports Betting Champ list, you can't find anything else out about this system (other than our own review, of course).
• Although the secure order form does state that this is a one-time payment, with no mention of it being for a single NFL season, we strongly suspect that this is, in fact, an annual fee, and we fully expect an email from John around August next year to ask for another payment. (We're happy to be proven wrong on this, but the absence of a sales page means it's hard to be sure one way or the other.)

Recommendations:

Based on past performance with System 1, the reduced odds/juice, 3-game format that seems to work for him vs. his single-game picks which have a very low win rate, little or no points required, multiple picks per week with plenty over the season, and supposedly it has only has a one-time loss since 2004, this would seem like an ideal addition to your sports betting portfolio. Your risk is reasonable and if the W/L holds up you should be able to make some nice additional funds during the NFL season.

As we said above, there is no sales page available for The Ultimate NFL Betting System, so all we can tell you is what we've written above based on our own analysis and experience. Suffice it to say that we were confident enough to join, and we believe that you too will be able to make a decent return on your investment with The Ultimate NFL Betting System.
